Instagram disables Constitutional Council spokesman’s account

American photo and video sharing social networking service Instagram has disabled the Constitutional Council spokesperson’s account in yet another attack on freedom of expression.

The Guardian Council’s public relations office reported late on Tuesday that Hadi Tahan-Nazif’s account at https://www.instagram.com/haditahaan has been disabled for what Instagram calls “violence or dangerous organizations”.

The Council will soon file a complaint with the photo and video sharing social networking service to reactivate the account.

Over the past years, the United States has, for several times, taken similar measures against Iranian officials and media outlets whose accounts on Twitter, Instagram, and Google-owned services have been targeted.
