Ayatollah Mahdi Shabzendehdar (Born 1954 in Fars province) became a member of the Constitutional Council’s Board of Fuqaha (Islamic jurists) in 2013.
He is also a member of the Supreme Council of Qom's Hozeh Elmiyeh (Islamic seminary) and has spent a major part of his life teaching and educating seminary students.
