“Merciless attacks on defenseless people and defenders of security in Izeh and Isfahan are what those behind Shahcheragh tragedy [in Shiraz] have in mind for all cities in Iran,” Hadi Tahan-Nazif tweeted.

He added, “Decisive action against the perpetrators of these crimes is a national demand; the demand of a nation whose hearts, with seeing people rolling in their blood, are filled with fury and zeal”.

On Wednesday, at least seven people were killed after terrorists opened fire at people and security forces at a crowded market in Izeh in southwestern province of Khuzestan around the sunset.

A nine-year-old child, a 45-year-old woman, and three youths were among the martyrs. At least 10 other people were also wounded, four of whom are in critical condition.
