In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
O’ Conqueror of hearts and sight
O’ Planner of night and day
O’ Transformer of power and circumstances
Transform our condition to the best of conditions!
This year, Nowruz has coincided with the holy month of Sha’ban (the eighth month of the lunar calendar). I would like to congratulate Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the honorable families of martyrs, the dear disabled war veterans, and the entire Iranian nation. I hope that this year, we will have both natural and spiritual growth for our country; a year full of success, prosperity and dignity.
Unfortunately, in the past year, we lost a large number of our dear compatriots due to the spread of the Coronavirus which has become a global pandemic. We were saddened and I deem it necessary to express my condolences to the bereaved families of those who sadly died as a result of the viral disease. I ask Allah the Almighty to bestow patience and tranquility upon their families.
I would like to also sincerely thank the country’s medical staff, doctors, nurses, assistants, allied health professionals, emergency departments, armed forces, law enforcement officers, Basij (volunteer forces) and health activists and donors for their acts of sacrifice and services in the process of the country’s fight against the virus. May God bless them all.
In the year 1399, despite the efforts made to help improve the economy and people’s livelihood, unfortunately no practical and tangible measures were taken in this regard. I hope that this year, which has also coincided with the birth anniversary of the Twelfth and last Shia Imam, Imam Mahdi (PBUH), the country’s officials will join hands and resolve the economic problems and boost people’s livelihood through doubling their efforts and cooperation and relying on domestic capacities.
In 1400, we will have the important and sensitive presidential elections in Khordad (June 18, 2021) and I hope that we will witness a healthy and fair rivalry among the candidates. I also hope for a lively and inclusive popular turnout. Iranian people will wisely make the right choice.
The Leader named the new year as the year of “Production: support and the elimination of obstacles”. God willing and with the help of the officials and our dear nation, all the lofty goals of the Revolution will be achieved and we will witness more dignity, strenght, health, welfare, security for our people and all the Muslims around the world.
