Constitutional Council approves budget bill

The spokesman for Iran’s Constitutional Council announced that the law watchdog body has approved the country’s national budget bill for the new Iranian fiscal year, which begins on March 21.

In a message posted on his Twitter account late on Wednesday, Abbas-Ali Kadkhodaei wrote, “The budget bill for 1400 was finally approved after the revisions proposed by the Constitutional Council and the Expediency Council were made. The Parliament has been informed”.

On Saturday, the Constitutional Council reviewed the new draft budget and sent it back to parliament for further revisions.

The Parliament then worked on a list of the bill’s shortcomings highlighted by the Council and made the required changes before sending it to the Council again for final approval.

Kadkhodaei also congratulated the Iranian nation on the occasion of Nowruz, wishing all Iranians a year full of joy, blessings, and health.
