Spokesman: Iran to continue path of dignity, uphold ideals of the Islamic Revolution
Speaking to Tasnim News Agency on the sidelines of the farewell ceremony, Dr. Hadi Tahan Nazif said the Iranian nation has endured difficult days but has once again demonstrated its appreciation for the sacrifices of its leaders.
"Our people fully understand that Iran's influential position on the international stage today is the result of the leadership, wisdom, and strategic vision exercised by our martyred Leader throughout his 36 years of leadership," he said.
Tahan Nazif noted that the path initiated by the late Imam Khomeini was faithfully continued by the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
"Our martyred Leader knew his devoted nation well," he said. "The path we have followed under his leadership has been one of dignity, honor, and national pride."
The spokesperson said the unprecedented public turnout at the funeral ceremony conveyed a clear message to the international community that the Iranian nation would not retreat from the principles and aspirations of the Islamic Revolution.
"The people have shown that they will continue this path with even greater determination and resolve," he said.
Tahan Nazif added that this was the very path for which the martyred Leader ultimately sacrificed his life.
"There is no doubt that this path will be carried forward by his followers, his devoted nation, and the officials of the Islamic Republic," he said.
